I am Josh Katz, a CPA in Beachwood, Ohio. I grew up in Cleveland, I still live here, and for more than fifteen years I have worked with small business owners across Northeast Ohio on their books and their taxes.
Who I work with
My clients are the businesses that make up this region: contractors and trades, restaurants, medical and dental practices, real estate investors, ecommerce sellers, salons, consultants and professional service firms. Most have between one and twenty employees. Many came to me because their books had drifted out of shape, or because their last accountant only called once a year at tax time.
I work with businesses in Beachwood, Shaker Heights, Solon, Chagrin Falls, Pepper Pike, Mayfield Heights, Independence and across Cuyahoga County. Being local matters more than people expect. I know the municipal withholding rules here, I know which RITA and CCA filings catch people out, and I know the Ohio Commercial Activity Tax thresholds that surprise growing businesses.
How I work
Clean books, every month. Bank, credit card and loan accounts reconciled monthly. Balance sheet and profit and loss statements delivered on a schedule you can count on. No frantic cleanup in March.
Year round, not once a year. The value of an accountant shows up in the conversations you have in July, not in the return you sign in April. I stay in touch, flag issues before they get expensive, and answer the phone.
Flat fees, quoted up front. Monthly bookkeeping starts at $350. Individual tax returns start at $800 and corporate returns start at $1,500. You know the cost before the work begins, and you will never get a surprise invoice for asking a question.
The office
We are at 3401 Enterprise Pkwy, Suite 340-387, Beachwood, OH 44122, just off Chagrin Boulevard. Most clients work with us remotely, sending documents electronically and meeting by video, but if you would rather sit down in person, that is always an option.
